I have 50 years of industrial and academic research experience. I worked for 24 years at the Ford Research Laboratories on a variety of projects including materials for exhaust gas treatment and sensing, semiconductor materials, polymeric materials for fuel system components, and materials for hydrogen production. I also served as Team Leader for Electron Microscopy and X-ray Physics. At Wayne State University I was a Senior Lecturer in the Chemistry Department, a Research Professor in the Institute for Manufacturing Research and an adjunct faculty member associated with the Lumigen Instrument Center in the Chemistry Department. I have authored or co-authored 52 papers in refereed journals in the areas of electron spectroscopy, catalysis, alloy surfaces, molecular beam epitaxy and surface modification of materials. Since 2009, I have been an independent consultant in materials science.
